How it works

Competition rules

AIYUG is a weekly paper-money trading race. You trade virtual capital on real market data, climb a live leaderboard, and the top finishers get scouted. Here’s exactly how a week runs.

Starting capital
₹10,00,000
Race length
1 week
Ranked by
Return %
Prizes
Spotlight
01

Join free, get virtual capital

Pick a weekly competition and you instantly receive ₹10,00,000 of virtual capital — the same stake for everyone. No deposit, no KYC. Build strategies in plain English, snap them together in blocks, paste code, or drop a screenshot; we paper-trade them live against real market data.
02

One week, ends Saturday 9 PM IST

Each race runs for one week and locks Saturday at 9 PM IST. At the lock the race auto-settles — open positions close and the standings freeze. Add or edit strategies any time before the lock.
03

Your progress — in money and in %

Every position is marked live against real prices. You see it both ways: the rupee P&L (e.g. +₹84,000) and the return percentage (+8.40%). Money tells you the stakes; percent sets your rank.
04

Ranked purely on return %

The live leaderboard is ranked on pure return %— your gain against your starting capital. Every day’s moves compound into that running return, so a steady week of gains keeps lifting you and the board reshuffles in real time. Drawdown is shown for context but never changes your rank.
05

Qualify, size, and survive

Three guardrails keep it honest:
  • Qualify — place at least 5 trades to be eligible for the Spotlight.
  • Position cap — no single trade may exceed 25% of your capital, so no all-or-nothing lottery bets.
  • Elimination — drop 25% below your starting capital and you’re out of contention. Your strategies keep trading, but recovery won’t restore eligibility — a real margin call.
06

Two scores — the rank and the ★ Investor Score

Your live rank is pure return %. But the leaderboard also gives every trader a separate ★ Investor Score from 0 to 100 — the credential investors actually read. It’s built from your daily performance, so steady compounding beats one lucky day. It blends four things:
  • Risk-adjusted return — gains relative to how much your equity swings around (steadier scores higher).
  • Consistency — the share of days you finished green.
  • Drawdown control — how well you protected capital versus the elimination line.
  • Return — your raw edge, capped so a single lottery week can’t run away with it.
07

The reward — the Investor Spotlight

There are no cash prizes. The reward is recognition: top finishers earn a verified, public track record and get put in front of scouting investors. Because the Spotlight is judged on the Investor Score, what gets you scouted isn’t one lucky week — it’s a consistent, risk-managed record you can repeat week after week.
08

Beyond one week — your progression rating

Every race also moves a running progression rating, starting at 1000. It works like a chess rating: beating traders ranked above you gains a lot, beating traders ranked below you gains little, and losing to someone below you costs more than losing to someone above you — the system rewards exceeding expectations, not just finishing high. You need at least 5 trades in a race for it to count.

Rating maps to a visible tier ladder — Rookie → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Elite— shown next to your name on every leaderboard. Two anti-frustration shields protect newer or recently promoted players from an instant drop: you can’t be relegated in your first 5 races, or in the race right after a promotion. Racing consistently and finishing on the podium also earn small streak bonuses on top of your rating.
